Do you find it amazing how Singaporeans of different races in Singapore live, work and play in peace and harmony together? Do you want to witness it yourself? If so, Chingay Parade 2011 is the right place for you to go!

The Parade has its origins from China. Chingay Parade is actually a traditional Chinese New Year procession that has developed in the current grandest street and floats parade in Asia, showcasing the rich "multi-culturalism" of Singapore. In addition, it is also a place for local and overseas performers to showcase their talents.

The Chingay 2011 highlights include a spectacular opening with Singapore's first part of 88-metre long dragons-in-the-sky from Xi-An, China and a dragon entwined with firecrackers, amazed by the Indian cultures where towering flower pyramids, Indian puppets and a grand beautiful peacock float sashay onto the parade area and many more!

This is one of the many events held annually which consists of performers from all races – Chinese, Malays, Indians and Eurasians. They age from as young as children, to housewives, and even the active retirees! Performers spent months for rehearsals just to make sure Chingay Parade 2011 will be a perfect, wonderful and successful one.

Chingay ticket price is as low as only $25! After the parade, you can join in the most exciting and happening parties of the year – City Alive!, Singapore’s Biggest Street Dance Party, with special appearances of international DJs and fascinating performances just for you! So what are you waiting for? Come and join in the fun and immerse yourself with these activities and at the same time witness the bonds Singaporeans have with one another!
